Join us for a free online presentation on what students and families need to know about hazing before heading to college

HazingInfo.org is proud to co-host a free online webinar on August 28: “Navigating College Hazing: What Parents and Families Need to Know Before Students Go to School.”

The webinar will equip college-bound students and their families to identify and report hazing, investigate incidents of hazing on college campuses, and make informed decisions about joining clubs, teams, and organizations on college campuses.

Students and parents will learn what hazing looks like on today’s college campuses, the danger signs to watch for, and ways to talk to students about hazing.

The hourlong webinar will be held Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 4 pm Pacific (7 pm Eastern). Please register in advance.

Featured speakers include:

  • Jolayne Houtz, founder of HazingInfo.org, the nation’s first comprehensive database of hazing incidents on US college and university campuses.
  • Dr. Lisa Stephen, a psychologist and coach for college-bound students and families. She is a certified health and wellness coach and the founder of IGNITE Peak Performance.
  • Dr. Elizabeth Allan, principal of StopHazing.org, the leading hazing research organization and developer of evidence-based strategies for hazing prevention.

The webinar is co-sponsored by HazingInfo.org and StopHazing.

It is part of a month of programming organized by StopHazing in recognition of National Hazing Awareness Week September 23-27.
