HazingInfo updated our hazing profiles for all US colleges and universities and tightened our standards to earn a green checkmark for transparency

Hazing information for nearly 1,500 US colleges and universities is now updated on HazingInfo’s website for the 2026-27 school year.

In September, we checked the websites of each campus in our database to get the latest information about the school’s:

  • Campus Hazing Transparency Report.
  • Hazing policy.
  • Online form for reporting hazing.
  • Email and phone number for hazing reporting and questions.

At the same time, HazingInfo raised our requirements for campuses to earn a green checkmark for hazing transparency to align with — or in some cases exceed — the requirements of the new federal anti-hazing law called the Stop Campus Hazing Act.

How to earn HazingInfo’s green checkmark

Schools earn a green checkmark or red X from HazingInfo based on their demonstrated commitment to hazing transparency.

You can view our full set of evaluation standards here. Key requirements include:

  • A date-stamped hazing incident record or Campus Hazing Transparency Report that indicates whether or not the campus had a hazing incident in the past year. That’s a higher standard than the federal requirement to publish a report only when there has been a formal finding of hazing following an investigation.
  • A current hazing policy that includes substantive information on the school’s prevention policy and the process it uses to investigate hazing.
  • An online form or method specifically for reporting hazing. A generic “Contact Us” or “Report a concern” form that doesn’t mention hazing does not count.

Getting the facts right matters

HazingInfo refreshes all of our campus information twice a year and quickly updates individual school pages whenever a college or university reaches out with updated links or information.

If your school’s information is outdated or incorrect, please contact us using the form at the bottom of each institution’s listing on HazingInfo.
